If you ever forget your WordPress password, have no fear! There is a solution. You can reset your WordPress password in the database.
The first setup is to login to your WordPress database via phpmyadmin.
Next, select your WordPress database. Then, click on the users table. The default user table is wp_users. The default table prefix is “wp_”. You may have a prefix that is different from “wp_”.
Once the users table is open, click on Edit for the user you would like to change.
Now, in the row that has user_pass as the ID field, change the Function type to “MD5”. In the Value field, type in the password you would like to use.
Once you have entered the new password, click Go.
Now you’re all set. Happy blogging!
